Gypsy Heart

We are hard at work on a new project called Gypsy Heart. It is a short film about a young man who picks up a mysterious hitchhiker. It stars a talent we at SKF take pride in having discovered ourselves - Courtney Cheek. And co-stars the multi-talented Glenn Payne.



We have about one more day of production left.
There has been a significant upgrade of equpiment since the last SKF project. And as you can see by the images - it has made a WORLD of difference. Image quality and sound have never been better and this project represnts a grand leap forward in production values and project quality for SKF!

Astrocasket "976-EVIL" - Tupelo Film Festival

Thursday May 12 - starting at 6:30 pm - the traditional opening kickoff party! This event is outdoors on the old courthouse lawn - Court St. & Broadway. Music by Chuco y Los Papis - south american food by Romie's BBQ, $8.oo a plate.....
But after the band plays, the official MUSIC VIDEO COMPETITION begins!! So come out and support "976-EVIL" by Astrocasket! There will be an Audience Choice Award for the music videos, so we need all the support we can get! And did I mention? The opening night kickoff is FREE!!! Free music. Free music videos, followed by an award winning documentary! That is a can't-beat deal in this economy!

But then FRIDAY NIGHT at 8:30 will be the HORROR BLOCK of films - at the Goodlett Manor next to the Lyric Theatre on Broadway St. across from the old courthouse....Featuring - Elixir, Blackout, Andre, Treat or Eat, Clemency and Lukos! But at 10pm, after the horror block plays (a couple of films, by the way, Daniel also worked on) you're in for a special treat..... Playing their debut live performance will be:

Astrocasket - "976-EVIL"

Beside directing films, Daniel Lee is also a musician.
A couple years ago, he wrote and recorded 10 song horrorpunk album in only two days!
Recently, he has been re-recording the album with some new songs and better production.
A music video was shot for the first single, "976-EVIL".
The project is called Astrocasket and there are plans to form a live band for a mini-tour.
We are pleased to announce that music video will see its World Premiere at the 2011 Oxford Film Festival!
The Music Video block is at 11am - Saturday Feb 12. And this year's music video award will be Audience Choice - so we need as many people as we can to come out and vote for "976-EVIL"!
But you don't have to wait for the film festival to rock out.
